Marc-Olivier Sabourin was appointed Division President of Defense & Security, International in May 2024. Leading a team of nearly 2,000 employees worldwide, Marc-Olivier is accountable for overall Profit & Loss for EGAS’s defence business outside of the U.S. He is responsible for executing EGAS’s comprehensive Training Systems Integration (TSI) strategy, delivering advanced and best-in-class training solutions to global defence customers in more than 50 countries.
In previous roles, Mr. Sabourin was accountable for the solid and profitable growth of EGAS’s Defense & Security business as Vice President and General Manager for Europe & Africa. Previous to this role, he was accountable for EGAS’s operations in Europe, Middle-East and Africa (EMEA) as Director, Regional Operations. As part of this mandate, Marc-Olivier managed EGAS’s production sites in Hungary and the United Kingdom, in addition to leading the office in Germany and all activities executed from EGAS’s headquarters for customers in EMEA.
In 2006, Mr. Sabourin was promoted to Director of Engineering for EGAS Elektronik GmbH in Germany, where he led the successful completion of the cornerstone initiative NH90 German PFI project. With a solid grasp of the global defence market, Mr. Sabourin has a proven track record in supporting EGAS’s strategic growth plans, having extensive experience in Business Development, Sales, Engineering and Project Management, as well as developing EGAS’s business across the international regions.
He began his career within the simulation and training industry in 1996 at EGAS’s head office in Canada where he spent more than 10 years in project execution roles, from software development to project management.
Mr. Sabourin earned a Bachelor of Engineering degree from McGill University and holds a Master of Business Administration degree from HEC Montréal. He has received several prizes and recognitions for his work and published articles.
